PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) treatments at IVY Infusion & Med Spa offer a unique and innovative solution for rejuvenation and healing. Our expert team uses your blood to create a concentrated serum rich in growth factors, which are then expertly applied to the skin or hair. The growth factors in PRP promote cell regeneration and revitalization, helping to improve skin texture, hair growth, and more. PRP is a safe and effective treatment that utilizes your own body’s natural processes for maximum results. Whether you’re looking to improve your skin’s appearance or encourage hair growth, PRP treatments can help you achieve your desired look.

PRP PROCESS

A topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment area. The patient’s blood is drawn, spun and the PRP is separated and prepared for use. The numbing cream is removed. The area is then treated with PRP with or without use of a micro-needle.

The procedure takes about 30 minutes. The patient will experience redness, possibly pinpoint bleeding, which is easily removed after the treatment. Redness subsides in 3 to 5 days. Treatments are performed 3-4 weeks apart with 3 to 6 treatments required, depending upon what is being treated. Visible changes will develop over the course of several weeks.

PRP Facials

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. Platelets are a component of blood that naturally stimulates growth and tissue regeneration. PRP is derived from the plasma in your blood to promote tissue growth and elasticity. It is more effective than synthetic growth factors in rejuvenating our skin and hair follicles. PRP not only acts as a filler but helps aging skin repair itself from within. The ultimate all-natural alternative to synthetic fillers to volumize, tighten, and lift the skin. PRP is particularly good for younger patients who want to get a head start on rejuvenating their skin with a solution that will look natural and youthful.

PRP for Hair Loss

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, is an innovative technique that is already being used for non-surgical facial rejuvenation, is now also available for the treatment of certain types of hair loss. PRP therapy channels the power of your body’s own natural growth factors to reactivate inactive hair follicles and trigger new hair growth.

The process of PRP therapy begins by drawing one small tube of your blood, just like in a routine blood test. It is spun and the PRP is separated and prepared for use. The highly-concentrated PRP is then injected into the scalp. PRP scalp treatments are done is a series of 6 at a rate of once per month.

Progress is 5 weeks after his first session.
WHO CAN GET PRP?

Almost anyone who wants a natural and non-invasive solution for aging skin are candidates for PRP. Since the platelets are derived from your own blood, there is very little risk of reaction, and the actual process of injecting the Platelet-Rich Plasma is even less invasive than Botox. PRP is particularly good for younger patients who want to get a head start on rejuvenating their skin with a solution that will look natural and youthful – in fact, Kim Kardashian went viral with her Instagram posts on her own Vampire Facial.

PRP also isn’t just for facial treatments: men or women who are experiencing hair loss can get PRP therapy in the scalp to stimulate follicles and promote hair regrowth. It is recommended to have three treatments spaced one to two months apart to get the most out of your PRP Therapy. After this, the positive benefits of PRP therapy can last for a year or more.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Dermal fillers work well in softening wrinkles, smile lines, the nasolabial folds, and filling in lip lines. Fillers may also be used to help restore volume in the jaw line and to help improve sunken cheeks. Some patients with complaints about their nasal appearance may also benefit from injectable fillers.
For injectable fillers such as Restylane®, Juvederm®, Perlane®, Radiesse®, a single session spaced 6 months to 1 year apart, depending on the area injected and particular filler injected, will produce excellent results. However, the effects of injectable fillers are seen immediately, so the process can be stopped when you are happy with the result.
We use Botox® and Dysport® to treat the forehead, the area between the eyebrows, the lateral eyes (“crow’s feet”), the upper lip and the top of the nose (“bunny lines”). Botox® and Dysport® can also be used to slightly raise the eyebrows and the corners of the mouth.
For Botox® and Dysport® the results may be seen anywhere from 24 hours to 2 weeks after treatment. The effects of Botox®, Dysport® and injectable fillers are temporary, and the duration of each treatment varies from patient to patient. For Botox® and Dysport® a single session every 3 to 4 months will accomplish optimal results.
Wrinkles that are created by muscle movement are improved with Botox® and Dysport®. These wrinkles are referred to as “dynamic” and are usually not prominent when the muscles are relaxed. In contrast, a “static” wrinkle is present even when the face is completely relaxed. This type of wrinkle is usually not improved with Botox® and Dysport®, and will likely respond to an injectable filler.

A procedure involving Botox®, Dysport® and injectable fillers involves very little pain with the proper technique. A customized anesthetic is used, allowing minimal discomfort.

*With all dermal fillers, some clients may need more than one syringe to achieve satisfactory results. Individual results may vary. Any specific claims or permanent length of results vary for each patient and are not guaranteed. Each treatment plan is designed individually, so depending on the area being treated and the condition of the skin being treated, each patient will experience different results.
